Who operates this app
Purpose in the Blood Social is operated by Purpose DNA and Health LLC, 715 Pendleton St, Greenville, SC 29601. Contact info@PurposeDNA.com for support, privacy, correction, deletion, safety or policy questions. This address is the contact for the social app; this notice does not describe the company’s separate specimen-collection, testing or laboratory services.
Information we collect
The app receives a member identifier and email through email-and-password sign-in. Passwords are stored as salted password hashes. Password-reset links are stored as cryptographic token hashes; readable passwords are not stored. Session cookies are secure and inaccessible to page scripts. Password recovery uses an expiring, single-use link emailed to your account address. Members provide their display name, age/group, industry, optional profile details and photo, visibility choices and notification preferences. The app also stores the content and actions members choose to create: journals, prayers, devotion progress, favorites, prayer requests and responses, recordings, connections, messages, events, reports, business applications, private review files and sharing links. Religious and prayer content may reveal sensitive beliefs, health concerns or personal circumstances. Do not upload patient files, full tax identifiers, passwords or unnecessary information about someone else.
Policy agreement records
If you choose Accept on the policy review screen, we store your account identifier, policy version, policy-page fingerprints and server-recorded acceptance time. This records your action for the Terms of Use and Community Rules and receipt of the Privacy Notice; it is not marketing consent, a payment authorization or verified guardian consent. These records remain with your account until app-data deletion and are included in supported account export and restricted recovery backups. The ordinary backup retention and preservation exceptions apply.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide account features, save your reading and reflections, deliver requested community interactions and notifications, review listings and reports, protect accounts, respond to support/privacy requests, and operate backups and recovery. This release does not connect social-app content to laboratory records or activate paid membership billing. We do not sell member information or use private prayers, journals or messages as sponsor creative.
Visibility and sharing
Optional adult networking shares the profile fields shown in the directory, subject to account visibility and block restrictions. Prayer and recording access depends on the selected audience and participants. Private messages require an accepted, unblocked connection. Authorized operators may access records needed for administration, support, safety and recovery; server-stored data is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Verification documents are private to the uploader and authorized reviewers. An approved sponsor logo may appear in its campaign.
Public invitations and external services
Personal invitation links require a separate sharing choice, with an optional photo. Networking visibility alone does not authorize a public invitation. Shared profile links are separate from member blocking. Revoking a link stops future access through the app’s sharing flow but cannot recall cards, screenshots, downloaded copies or third-party posts. Sponsor, business, provider and meeting links lead to independent destinations with their own terms and privacy practices. Directory purchases occur on the business’s website. Sponsors receive aggregate reporting; the app’s internal view/click records may be linked to a member account before aggregation.
Hosting and device notifications
The app uses Sites hosting, Cloudflare D1 for records and R2 for uploaded files, plus email-and-password sign-in and browser push delivery services. These services process information needed to provide their functions. Device notifications require permission on each device. New-account alert preferences default on, but you can change them. Lock-screen notification content is designed to be generic. Device settings, quiet hours and limits affect delivery and sound. Device-local storage supports settings and notification deduplication; it does not replace the account database.
Your choices and requests
Edit your profile and visibility in Profile, change notification choices in Alerts/settings, revoke invitations in Share & invite, and use report/block controls where appropriate. Privacy & account data offers account export and confirmed app-data deletion. Photos and recordings are not embedded in the member JSON export; use their account screens for available downloads. App-data deletion does not delete your Purpose in the Blood Social account. For requests or a failed deletion, email info@PurposeDNA.com. We verify account authority before disclosure or deletion and do not ask for your password. Requests are handled according to applicable requirements; no instant or around-the-clock response is promised.
Retention and deletion
The schedule below is the operator’s retention standard adopted October 22, 2026. Member account deletion removes covered records and uploaded files from the active app when the operation succeeds; an error may require a retry. Other time-based periods are administered through operator review and controlled deletion, not a blanket automatic purge. The operator reviews due records weekly. We do not claim that publication of this notice has deleted existing data.
| Information | Retention standard |
|---|---|
| Profile, preferences, journal, saved reflections and personal prayers | While the account remains in use, until the member deletes the item where supported, or until account deletion. |
| Prayer Line requests, responses, voice recordings, connections and messages | While retained for the member’s community use, until supported removal or account deletion. Account deletion may also remove connected conversations or responses. No automatic age-based purge is represented as active. |
| Vendor/provider/sponsor verification uploads | Delete within 90 days after a final review decision; retain only a minimal decision record while the listing is active and for 12 months after closure. If an appeal or verification remains open, retain only what is needed until resolution, then apply the 90-day period. |
| Closed support, privacy and moderation cases | 12 months after closure; retain only the minimum necessary case record and evidence. |
| Completed notification-delivery diagnostics and member-level sponsor activity | 90 days after the recorded activity. Pending notifications remain subject to their delivery/expiry rules. Device subscriptions remain until disabled, expired, replaced or the account is deleted. |
| Operator-created encrypted backups | 30 days from creation, then remove the operator-controlled copies. Rehearsal copies are removed when the exercise ends. |
| Exceptions | A specific legal preservation obligation, active dispute, fraud or security investigation may justify longer restricted retention of the minimum relevant material; review the need at least every 90 days and delete when it ends. |
Backup limits and preservation
Operator-created encrypted backups follow the 30-day period below. Hosting-provider recovery copies and infrastructure logs are separate from these downloads and are governed by the hosting service’s actual configuration and applicable obligations; this notice does not claim an unverified provider-wide erasure deadline. Such copies must remain restricted and must not be used to resume ordinary processing of deleted information. Recovery must account for intervening account deletions, revoked sharing choices and permissions. Copies another member or external recipient already made cannot be recalled.
Age and community boundaries
Under-13 registration is not permitted by the current account validation. The current teen study path is separate from adult networking, messaging, Prayer Warriors and business participation; teen community groups remain paused. Do not misrepresent age or use adult community features to contact minors. Contact info@PurposeDNA.com about an under-age account or safety concern. The app is not an emergency-response service or a clinical-record system.
